Chase launched a new transfer bonus this week, offering a 50% bonus when transferring Ultimate Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy.

Quick Thoughts
A headline bonus transfer rate of 50% always sounds good, but in this instance it’s not as impressive as it sounds. That’s because Marriott Bonvoy points aren’t as valuable as airline miles or Hyatt points and so doesn’t represent a great redemption option.
If you only need a few thousand points to top up your account for a specific redemption, transferring Ultimate Rewards might make more sense than just buying the points. However, it would be a rare occasion where it’d be worth transferring tens of thousands of points over, especially seeing as Marriott points frequently go on sale for less than 0.9cpp.
