American Airlines is back with an unannounced flash sale on domestic flights, with various awards pricing from just 5K miles each way, including on transcon routes like New York to Los Angeles. Some of the best availability has faded, but you’ll still find a number of dates through the end of the calendar with flights for fewer points than the old “standard” domestic saver price of 12.5K.
While there were nonstop options available between the costs a little while ago, it looks like availability may be waning. If you’re interested, head to AA.com to look at options from your airport. Keep in mind that unlike most American Airlines award tickets, economy web specials can not be changed and are subject to a cancellation fee.
