Delta is having a SkyMiles flash sale, with flights to the Caribbean and Mexico from just 6,000 SkyMiles each way. Availability and exact pricing will vary with your city of origin, but there are some excellent deals to be found (and some extend well beyond the advertised dates). Keep in mind that the travel period is the stormy season. That said, I’ve been to the Caribbean in the fall before and had great weather as well. There are also some domestic routes on sale — see below.

Availability is pretty good on some routes, with New York to Cancun widely available in October (and pretty good in September and November) for 12,000 miles round trip plus $78.22 in taxes.
Other routes advertised on sale include:
Note that thanks to Delta’s variable pricing, reality can sometimes be better than what you see advertised. For example, this sale is advertised as being available for travel from September 7th through November 15th. One of the routes on sale is Atlanta to Cancun for 18K miles. However, you can also find that pricing well outside of the sale dates:
I also found 12K-14K round trip pricing out of New York in January and into February, though availability at the lowest prices was much more limited.
When Delta runs flash sales, it’s always worth checking other routes to see what else might be pricing out advantageously.
Delta is also advertising domestic deals in this flash sale. A domestic round trip from Los Angeles to Raleigh hardly sounds like a deal at 25K round trip,, but there might be some deals to be found on a couple of the included routes.
