A couple of years ago Marriott launched a partnership with Uber, which offers bonus points when taking rides or placing Uber Eats orders. Since then, they’ve regularly offered additional bonus points for linking your accounts, taking an UberX ride, and/or placing an Uber Eats order.
Marriott now has another such offer that gives up to 2,500 bonus Bonvoy points when linking your accounts and then using Uber.
The Deal

- Get 1,500 points for linking both your Uber and Marriott accounts

Quick Thoughts
If you’ve not already linked your Marriott and Uber accounts and use Uber and/or Uber Eats, this is a fairly easy way to earn 2,500 bonus points.
I say “fairly” because there are a couple of key things to be aware of. If you want to earn the bonus points by taking an Uber ride, it has to be with Uber X Reserve – other rides are excluded. Based on a quick glance at rates to a random place near me, UberX Reserve would be twice the price of UberX, although I imagine that varies depending on location, time of day, destination, etc.
If you have an Amex Platinum card, remember that your monthly $15 credit will count towards fulfilling this offer.

Like others have said, fair warning: neither Uber nor Marriott may end up granting you these points. They’re untrustworthy companies for these types of bonus points offers. This was my experience last year. I completed the terms of an UberX Reserve offer and then had to chase down the points. Both companies kept passing the buck and asked me to contact the other. I got tired of it and gave up, after multiple unanswered requests via app and email. No one every replied. Frankly, Marriott and Uber suck in many other aspects so, go after this at your own risk. Hopefully you won’t be bonvoyed…
