A new Chase Offer for Giftcards.com popped up in the last day or two, offering 5% back on gift card purchases. Even better, it has a high spending limit, and you can use the offer on each of the Chase cards you can load it onto.

The Deal
- Get 5% back on Giftcards.com purchases with a Chase Offer.
Key Terms
- Expires December 31st, 2025.
- $50 maximum cashback.
- Offer is valid one time only.
- Offer only valid on purchases made directly with the merchant.
- Offer valid online only.
- Offer not valid on purchases made using third-party services, delivery services, or a third-party payment account (e.g., buy now pay later).
- Offer only valid on U.S. purchases.
Quick Thoughts
This is a nice little offer, especially with a high spending limit of up to $1,000 (to max out the $50 cashback). Be sure to note, though, that there’s a limit of one purchase per Chase card you load the offer onto, so don’t spend $200 in five separate transactions on the same card if you want to earn the full $50 back.
You can also click through from a shopping portal to earn rewards. Be aware that some Visa gift card deals are non-commissionable, and so you may not earn anything by clicking through from a portal. However, regular purchases and discounts should be processed through a shopping portal. A high, targeted cashback rate from Capital One Shopping could be a good option. Otherwise, remember that most airline shopping portals are currently offering bonus points/miles when hitting spending thresholds.
As always with Chase Offers, you can redeem the offer on more than one credit card, provided you’re targeted on 2+ cards.

I have the offer on several Chase cards. The previous comments appear to be from 1 yr ago, so I’m not sure how current they are. Looking at the Chase offer’s terms & conditions, it’s not clear whether using a Freedom card that has the offer and going thru PayPal to pay for $1,000 in VGCs will allow a double dip (5% on Freedom + $50 for the offer). Since the max load on virtual VGCs appears to be $250, 4 of those cards will result in $23.80 of fees. Not sure whether the risk/reward makes it worth the time and effort. Any current reports from any purchasers?
I bought $1000 worth of gift cards last week on my targeted IHG card and received the $50 statement credit a few days later.
how do you prevent canceled orders? I’ve tried about 10 times over the last 6 months and only one order went through. 4+ different cards, getting tired of dealing with it. Is it just me?
Sadly I don’t see this on any of my cards
If you pay with Freedom and Paypal (to get the 5x Freedom this quarter), will it still trigger the offer?
It might. Chase Offers aren’t as sophisticated as Amex Offers when it comes to deciding which purchases are eligible or not – it all depends on how the transaction ends up getting listed on your statement. I’d say that there’s a greater than 50% chance that it won’t work though.
i did it this way and will try to remember to report back on if it worked!
it stacked! got both the chase offer and the 5% cashback
excellent question, response, and follow-up…. will try it again. (have it on half dozen of my chase cards)
Thanks
What did you get, 250 visa gc?
There is some 500 bitcoin card, but it’s not available in my state
also, maybe buying a giftcards.com gift card is a good idea? Any experience with their own GC?
