Quick Thoughts

Saving $300 on a paid ticket is no chump change and this offer could be timely for folks looking to save some cash on 2025 travel.

This should be valid for surcharges on award tickets in addition to full cash fares, as it only requires flights to be one-way or roundtrip ticket and booked on Qatar Airways (ie, it doesn’t specify all cash or exclude awards tickets). For a family, award taxes and the fuel surcharges added by Qatar can add up to decent amount, so this could be used to potentially take some sting out of those fees.

Do note the restriction on flight origin: terms dictate that flights must originate in the US and be charged in US dollars to qualify. I always find that mildly annoying since I prefer to book flights as one-ways and would rather book a one-way to/from the US — but I can’t do that with this offer since flights need to originate in the US.

It’s worth checking Cashback Monitor for Qatar as shopping portal rewards should stack with this. Several of us have received targeted 10% back offer from Capital One Shopping over the past few weeks, which would really turn this into a terrific deal.
