IHG Amex Offer: Spend $250+, get $50 back

There’s a new IHG Amex Offer that dropped this week, giving $50 back when you spend at least $250 at select IHG properties in the US, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, UK, Japan & Germany. The spend requirement is additive, so it can be on more than one transaction, and the total spend must be reached by 8/26/25 in order to trigger the offer.

The Deal

• Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $250 in one or more purchases at select IHG Hotels & Resorts properties in the US, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, UK, Japan and Germany.

Quick Thoughts

It’s been about a year since we’ve seen an Amex offer for IHG, which makes sense given that Chase issues all of IHG’s credit cards. While the terms officially exclude gift cards, these offers can usually be triggered by buying a gift card from the front desk of a hotel. That said, most IHG hotels won’t sell gift cards at the front desk, with the notable exception of Kimpton.

If you have paid stays at any included IHG properties, this is a winner and it’s widely targeted…I have it on most of my Amex Membership Rewards-earning cards. Be sure to register for IHG’s current promotion before your stay(s).
