There’s a potentially great new Amex Offer that’s valid at select Hilton brands in the US, Canada and Mexico. Unfortunately the select brands are many of Hilton’s niche brands which will make this offer harder to make use of for many people.

Quick Thoughts
Getting $75 back on a $250+ stay provides some excellent savings, especially if you get this offer on a Hilton credit card or a Business Platinum card, the latter of which now has a $50 per quarter Hilton benefit that’ll stack with this. The Hilton Surpass and Business cards also have their own $50 and $60 Hilton quarterly credits respectively.
What’s disappointing is that it’s only valid at the following Hilton brands:
- Curio Collection
- Tapestry Collection
- Tempo
- Motto
- Graduate
- Canopy
The vast majority of Hilton properties in the US, Canada and Mexico are brands like Hampton Inn, DoubleTree, Hilton, Homewood Suites, Home2 Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, etc., all of which are excluded from this Amex Offer, thereby making it much harder to use.
Click through from a shopping portal before making a reservation, but be sure to check the terms of the expected earnings. For example, I received an email from Capital One Shopping last night offering 22.5% cashback at some Hilton brands and 33.5% at some other Hilton brands. Unfortunately the six eligible brands for this Amex Offer are excluded from those boosted earning rates via Capital One Shopping.

Best way to stack Amex Bix Plat AND an Aspire card with this one? Have 4 night stay at a Curio, I can book and prepay 2 nights on Amex BPP, and book 2 nights on Aspire and have them combine bookings? Since Diamond status on Aspire, I assume I will get Diamond benefits for entire booking regardless of what care I use?
I’d just book a single four night stay just to minimize the hassle of having to check out and back in again. When checking out, just ask them to charge $50 to your Business Platinum and leave the rest on the Aspire in order to earn 14x. And yes, you will get Diamond benefits regardless of which card you pay with.
