The Virgin Atlantic Shops Away shopping portal recently offered a 30% bonus on your first purchase through the portal. That promotion appears to have ended, but a new – potentially better – one has taken its place.
Through October 13, you can earn 1,000 bonus points when making one purchase using a linked card at one of the eligible in-store retailers.

The Deal
- Earn 1,000 bonus Virgin Atlantic points when making a purchase in-store with a linked card.
- Direct link to offer.
- Direct link to offer terms.
Key Terms
- This promotion runs from 22 September to 13 October 2025 or until a total of 2.5 million Virgin Points have been allocated, whichever is earlier (the “Promotion Period”).
- 1,000 Virgin Points (the “Bonus Points”) will be awarded to UK and US Flying Club members who have logged into Shops Away, registered a debit or credit card in their Shops Away account and completed a card linked purchase with a participating merchant before end of the Promotion Period. The card registration must be completed before the card linked purchase for the Bonus Points to be earned, but card registration can be completed before the start of the Promotion Period.
- Bonus Points will not be awarded on the purchase and/or the use of gift vouchers, which includes gift cards, gift certificates or any other similar cash equivalents, or on taxes and/or delivery charges.
- Bonus Points can only be earned once per person.
- Bonus Points will be credited to your account within 24 hours of the purchase being approved by the Shops Away merchant. Timings vary depending on the merchant – check out the merchant’s terms and conditions for details.
Quick Thoughts
It looks like Virgin Atlantic’s shopping portal and card-linked offer program is run by Collinson. That’s the company behind a few other shopping portals like JetBlue, Caesar Rewards, and more.
I’m not sure how sophisticated Collinson’s systems are, so I don’t know if it’s possible to have the same card linked to two or more portals and earn with each of them. I suspect not, but you never know.
You can find the full list of in-store retailers here. Given its abundance of stores nationwide, the easiest option for most people will be CVS. You’ll earn 3x points as of the time of publishing this, as well as the 1,000 bonus points from this card-linked offer promotion. That’s an excellent return, especially considering there’s no minimum transaction amount listed, so spending a dollar or two with a linked card should work.
Be aware that there’s a cap of 2.5 million points to be earned through this promotion. With 1,000 points on offer per person, that means it’ll get maxed out once 2,500 people have taken advantage of it. That doesn’t feel like a particularly high number, so if you’re interesting in earning the bonus points it’d be worth taking a trip to CVS (or any other participating retailer) ASAP.

I am only able to add a card to the UK store, even though I have a US card.
Did you try changing it to the US store at the top of the page?
Yes. At first, when I added my card from US page, it refreshed the page but nothing else seemed to happen. Then, I went to the menu at the top to try to add my card from there. When I did that, it accepted the card but I realized that it had changed to the UK page (based on the store selection). I deleted the card from the UK page and switched back to the US page from the chooser at the top of the page. From there, I went to the cards section in the menu at the top (still on US page) but it would not add the card.
That’s strange. Are you doing this on desktop? If so, try doing it on mobile. If doing it on mobile, try doing it on desktop, just in case that fixes whatever glitch is happening.
I have same issue. I cannot pull up US stores despite being on US site.
I had the same issue until I realized my VPN was connecting through a Canadian server. Switching to a USA VPN server fixed the problem
I am unable to add a card to the Virgin Shopping system. I put the card in and either get “something went wrong” or the website goes back to the home page and doesn’t add the card. Tried several cards several times.
How long does it take for the points to track
Note that the CVS offers requires a $10 minimum.
And I’d say that while yes, CVS is an obviously easy retailer for this, it is about the only retailer in the program that I personally even consider shopping at.
