Good interview!

That tip to look directly at the property management company for Airbnb/vacation rentals is a good one. Used that recently on a two week stay I needed and the direct price was 10% – 20% lower than listings on VRBO, Airbnb, Booking.com, really anywhere else, while having the same or better cancelation terms.

Really enjoyed this. I’ll pick up a Frommer’s next time!

Jill

This was a great interview! (as opposed to Greg’s interview on Frommer’s podcast which I turned off mid-way because she hadn’t done any research and didn’t know which questions to ask or how to talk about points/miles)

Viv

Potentially, in her defense, she was asking the questions that her audience would ask (I don’t know anything about her show and her audience, besides what was featured here, but i am assuming they have not spent any time looking into points and miles).

Jill

I hadn’t thought of it in that vein. Thanks. I do listen to her podcast regularly, and usually enjoy her interviews.

What a treat to hear from Pauline Frommer! I have enjoyed using Frommer guides for many years and I still use them routinely as I plan my family’s trips near and far. So interesting to learn about her background and also to hear her take on researching travel in the modern world.

Pierre

I love using Frommers Guides as a first pass when planning my trip! Great to hear some back story about that

Jo Ann
