For the last few years, IHG has been offering a 15% discount on award stays at new properties, with different hotels being discounted one, two, and three months ahead of time.
The list of eligible hotels gets updated each month with new properties for three months ahead of time, so there’s now a new set of discounted award stays available for March 1-31, 2026.

Quick Thoughts
A lot of the new IHG hotels aren’t particularly inspiring seeing as many are for brands like Garner, Candlewood Suites, etc. However, I find it’s always worth perusing the lists because there are sometimes hotels that could be of interest.
For example, there aren’t a ton of points-bookable hotels in Iceland, so the new Candlewood Suites Reykjavik might be appealing, especially considering your room will include a kitchen which could help you save money on eating out there.
Other new hotels that caught my eye include the InterContinental The Red Sea Resort in Saudi Arabia, the InterContinental New Taipei Hot Spring in Taiwan (although early reviews don’t seem to be great), and the InterContinental Sapporo in Japan.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Candlewood Suite Hot Springs, AR could be handy if you want to visit the World’s Shortest St Patrick’s Day Parade in March which is only 98 feet long and which also gives you the opportunity to participate in a 0K (rather than 5K) “race”.
