Choice timeshare promo: Pay $149 & get 3 night stay + 30K points or $100 Mastercard gift card

2

Choice is out with a new timeshare promotion that might be of interest for some. In return for paying $149 and attending a timeshare presentation, you can get a three night stay and either 30,000 bonus points or a $100 Mastercard gift card.

Choice Privileges timeshare deal Bluegreen Vacations

The Deal

  • Accommodations are subject to availability at a participating hotel or resort within the Choice Hotels portfolio (retail value of $175–$900/night), except in locations where accommodations at another brand hotel or resort may be offered.
  • Certain restrictions may apply.
  • Accommodation upgrades, stays over weekends, high season, and holidays are limited and may include additional fees.
  • Guests must attend a two-hour timeshare sales presentation and tour on the benefits of ownership with Bluegreen Vacation Club.
  • Vacation packages are nontransferable and cannot be combined with other promotional offers.
  • One offer per household.
  • Guests will receive a gift of 30,000 Choice Privileges® Bonus Points (retail value of up to $309) after the timeshare sales presentation or a gift of a $100 MasterCard® Reward Card (retail value of $100).

Quick Thoughts

This could be an enticing deal for some seeing as the eight locations you can pick for a three night stay are:

  • Orlando, FL
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Myrtle Beach, SC
  • New Orleans, LA
  • Ozark Mountains, MO
  • Smoky Mountains, TN
  • St Petersburg, FL
  • Wisconsin Dells, WI

You do have to pay $149, but that works out at slightly less than $50 per night which itself could be very good value. On top of that you get 30,000 bonus points or a $100 Mastercard gift card. Choice points are on sale for ~0.72 cents per point at the moment, so 30,000 points would cost you $216.30. Even if you valued Choice points at half that, points would still be the better option for most people than the $100 gift card.

The big catch here is the fact that you have to sit through a timeshare presentation. That’s obviously not a fun way to spend two or more hours on a three night vacation, but if you can withstand the sales pressure, it’ll make for a cheap getaway that’s also rewarding.

Any one with first hand knowledge of how these particular timeshare presentations go?

I did a Hilton one and it wasn’t that bad.
