The Choice Privileges Mastercard is currently featuring an increased introductory offer of 60,000 Choice Privileges points after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first 90 days. That’s a solid offer for the no-annual-fee version of the card (in fact, it matches the offer for the $95-annual-fee Choice Privileges Mastercard Select while requiring less spend).

Quick Thoughts
Our Reasonable Redemption Value for Choice Privileges points is 0.75c per point, which would make this offer worth about $450. That’s a solid return on just $1,000 spend on a card with no annual fee. If you’re able to cherry pick higher-value Choice redemptions, you can do even better.
That said, keep in mind that Wells Fargo Autograph cards transfer 1:2 to Choice Privileges, so if your ultimate goal is Choice points, you might be better off with a card like the Autograph Journey given that the welcome bonus on a card like that would yield far more Choice Privileges points at the 1:2 transfer ratio.

If you value Choice points at anywhere near the value listed above or the cheapest points sale (probably 0.65 CPP), you are probably better off getting the higher Select card. Over 3 years, you will get 120k points for $285 versus 60k for free. (Plus higher earn rate on gas/groceries; plus status benefits on those stays – 10%v25% earn rate if you also travel for work)
