Quick Thoughts
Several years ago, I did a little bit of research into Delta Vacations and found that there was definitely some good value that could sometimes be gained when booking your flight and another trip element through the site.
Getting $200 back on a $1,000+ purchase could make that even better value, not to mention the fact that you can save up to $300 when using promo code SMMED300. That code is valid through April 30, 2026 and is valid for travel through September 30, 2026. The size of the discount depends on the size of your flight + hotels Delta Vacations package:
- Spend up to $1,499 & save $75
- Spend $1,500-$3,999 & save $125
- Spend $4,000-$6,999 & save $$200
- Spend $7,000+ & save $300
You’ll also earn $1 Medallion Qualification Dollar per $1 spent which will be helpful for any SkyMiles members looking to earn status.
I found this offer on my Delta credit card, so the purchase would also count as bonused spend, not to mention working towards any big spend bonuses you might have on your card.

Thanks for the article. Any idea if this stacks with the Amex Delta card hotel credit (eg $200 of hotels booked through Delta Stays) or is that a separate program from delta vacations?
Delta Stays is a separate feature to Delta Vacations. The Delta Stays credit is only valid on hotel stays, whereas I believe Delta Vacations requires both a flight and another travel element.
