Each quarter, Southwest cardholders get to take advantage of an offer that rewards their spending in one way or another. This latest quarter is awarding 2X Companion Pass-qualifying points at home improvement stores on up to $10,000 spend by the end of June.

The Deal
- Earn 2X Companion Pass-qualifying points at home improvement stores when paying with a (targeted?) Southwest cardholder promotion.
- Direct link to registration.
Key Terms
- To be eligible for this bonus Companion Pass qualifying points offer, you must register between April 1 and June 30, 2026 (“Promotion Period”).
- During the Promotion Period, you will earn 2 Companion Pass qualifying points for every $1 in qualifying home improvement stores purchases made with your Southwest Rapid Rewards® Credit Card, up to 10,000 bonus points.
- So long as you register within the Promotion Period, qualifying purchases made between April 1 and June 30, 2026 will be eligible for the promotion.
- Companion Pass qualifying points are not eligible to use for redemption toward flights or with More Rewards.
- This bonus offer is nontransferable and applies only to Cardmembers who receive marketing communications for this offer.
- Please allow up to 6 to 8 weeks after the end of the Promotion Period for the bonus Companion Pass qualifying points to post to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account. Chase is not responsible for the provision of, or failure to provide, the stated benefits and services. Bonus Companion Pass qualifying points will post directly to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account and will not appear on your credit card statement.
- To qualify for this bonus offer, your Rapid Rewards Credit Card account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment.
- Merchants in this category specialize in selling a variety of home improvement supplies, from larger home improvement stores to smaller hardware stores. Purchases from contractors or specialists for providing a home improvement service are not eligible in this category. Merchants that sell a wide variety of general goods which may include home improvement supplies, for example, warehouse clubs, discount stores, or grocery stores, are not included in this category. Also, merchants that specialize in wholesale or commercial sales, home furnishings, garden and landscaping supplies are not included.
Quick Thoughts
For people who rely on credit card spending to qualify for a Companion Pass each year, these types of spending offers can prove to be helpful in getting you closer to your goal. A Companion Pass requires 135K qualifying points in a calendar year, with credit cardholders getting a 10K qualifying point head start each year.
If you were to max out this spending offer you’d end up with 20K Companion Pass qualifying points: 10K for the base spend and 10K for the bonus qualifying points from this spending offer.
Do note that the 2X points aren’t redeemable Rapid Rewards points; instead, they’re only points that count towards your Companion Pass-earning progress. Unfortunately none of the Southwest cards have home improvement stores as a bonus category, so you’ll only be earning 1X Rapid Rewards points on your purchases unless you’re also targeted for one of the ‘Spend $X, get X bonus points’ targeted spending offers for Chase cobranded cardholders.
The terms of this offer suggest that it’s a targeted cardholder promotion. If you are targeted, you’ll see a yellow ‘Register Now’ button to click; if that’s not there, you’re seemingly not targeted. That said, make sure you’re logged in to your Rapid Rewards account before trying to register as that might have an impact on whether or not you see the registration button.
