One of the sweet spots of the SAS EuroBonus program is the ability to book flights between the US and Europe for only 60,000 points one way in business class when flying on SAS metal. That has become even sweeter, as SAS is currently offering a 30% discount on award flights, reducing the price to only 42,000 points one way.

Quick Thoughts
SAS is a solid product. While it’s not the apex of business-class experiences in the sky, for only 60,000 points and $5.60 per person, it’s certainly among the better-value transatlantic redemption options if you have the points.
With this sale, SAS is giving a 30% discount on award flights to Scandinavia. That means business-class flights are reduced from 60,000 points each way to only 42,000. SAS premium economy drops from 45,000 to 31,500, while economy drops from 30,000 points to 21,000.
If you’re traveling with kids, that pricing is even better, as SAS offers a 50% discount on award flights for children ages 2-11. That means that, provided you can find availability, you can book children for only 21,000 points in business, 15,750 points in premium economy, or 10,500 points in economy.
Business-class availability from the US to Europe is scarce. Using the search tool Seats.aero, I see that economy is widely available, but there are only three dates with business-class availability from the US to Europe during the promotion period:
Bookings from Europe to the US, on the other hand, are much easier, with quite literally hundreds of flights available at the saver rate of 60k each way (there are several pages of results after what’s shown below):
Note that Seats.aero is displaying the standard award pricing; if you search on the SAS website or app, you’ll see those routes available for only 42,000 points. Taxes and fees from Copenhagen to the US are ~$90.
Note that although this award sale is valid for flights through May 31st, you must book by April 19th to get the discount. If you’re not a SAS millionaire from 2024’s million-mile promotion, SAS is also a transfer partner of Rove.
