Capital One Shopping sent me an email yesterday with all kinds of targeted increased cashback rates for hotel and other lodging brands. The headline rate in the email was 24% cashback for Best Western which is an excellent return, but there was a different offer further down that caught my eye: Sonesta. This can stack nicely with the (also targeted) Sonesta Amex Offer.

Quick Thoughts
The reason that Sonesta caught my eye is that—at the time of writing this post—it’s not available for rewards via any other shopping portal. Finally having an opportunity to earn rewards on your Sonesta reservation(s) is therefore great if you’re targeted, especially with the very high limit of $1,000 cashback. I can’t imagine there are many people dropping $8,333.33 on Sonesta stays, but it’s obviously far better than some kind of miniscule limit.
There’s also a targeted Sonesta Amex Offer giving $60 back when spending $300 or more which will stack nicely with the Capital One Shopping cashback.
As always, it’s worth scrolling all the way down when receiving emails from Capital One Shopping. That’s where I found the 12% Sonesta offer, but there was also 24% at Best Western, 15% at Homes & Villas by Marriott, 22.5% at Westgate Resorts, 8% at Marriott, 35% at TripAdvisor, 5% at Virgin Atlantic, 7% at Hotels.com, 22% at AAA, and more.
