The shopping portals for American, Alaska, Delta and United Airlines are all offering 10x miles on iPad and iMac purchases at Apple (today only). Quick Thoughts

This 10x promo is the best portal rate that we’ve seen for Apple in a bit. While 10x sounds great, it’s only valid towards iPads and iMac purchases with a lower 3x multiplier on all other eligible purchases.

If you have a valid Apple purchase that you’re making anyway, it’s worth taking the easy win, but be sure to check the rates on other portals to see if there’s something better (or more attractive than the airlines miles) before making your purchase.

Note that, while AA, Alaska, Delta and United are all offering elevated earnings on their shopping portals, only miles earned using the AA portal will count towards elite status. Still, if you value any of those other currencies above AAdvantage miles, they may be the better option.

In doing a bit of research, I’m pretty sure that 13″ & 14″ MacBook Pro models qualify for 10X as well via AA shopping portal. As always proceed with caution but if so, its a super sweet deal that I’ve not seen for quite some time if your in the market for a new Apple laptop.
