Quick Thoughts
This is a nice deal to sync up if you have upcoming travel to book on Alaska as it is rare to be able to save a chunk like this on airfare. Unfortunately, you can no longer pair something like this with the annual Alaska companion fare since Alaska now requires that fare be purchased with your Alaska Airlines Visa card. Still, this could be a nice way to save on a flight.
Possible workaround if gift cards do not trigger—if you purchase an airfare and cancel right away in the 24 hr window I believe you are given the option to deposit the funds in your Alaska wallet instead of returning to the credit card
I did not have this offer show on any of my cards so have not tried
Could you use this offer to purchase a codeshare flight operated by, say, American Airlines (I don’t think their partnership has ended yet)?
Not targeted.
I also just saw I have a 5% back from Alaska on my Chase Offers.
