Quick Thoughts
The United bonus thresholds are the best on a per dollar basis, but you’ll want to compare their rates to all other portals using Cashback Monitor to ensure you’re earning the most miles or cashback overall.
If you’re interested in earning bonus Alaska miles, be aware that the Mileage Plan portal bonuses are ending on August 11, whereas the other two deals are running until August 18.

I see mileageplan shopping is offering some in-store deals (according to email I got today). At staples 1.5miles per $$ spent. The terms exclude gift cards but I’m wondering if in people’s experience points from in-store shopping deals like this would post. Would seem sweet to use Iink Ink card to Mileagplan shopping account and then earn 5X UR plus1.5X Alaska points on $200 GC purchases.
Are stores that aren’t listed part of the deal? For instance, what if I buy ikea merchant online thru the portal to make up the $500 min. Would that work?
It doesn’t look like Ikea is available on the portal, so there’s no way to click through to them from there in order to earn bonus miles. You can only earn at retailers listed on the portals.
