I always avoid those MC because always heard they get drain and unload before you get to use it, is this true base in your experience?

I haven’t had any issues with Mastercard gift cards myself, but I haven’t often taken advantage of MGC deals and so my exposure has been limited.
I think a lot of the draining issues had been with $200 cards from office supply stores when Staples and Office Depot/OfficeMax had run deals, but I might be wrong about that.
