Quick Thoughts
Getting $15 off $125 worth of Uber, Uber Eats or DoorDash gift cards is a useful 12% discount, although you can currently get 15% off when buying Uber Eats and DoorDash gift cards on Amazon (our affiliate link).
20% off GameStop, Xbox or Roblox gift cards is also a nice deal. It’s a little bit of a shame that it’s valid on a relatively low denomination, although it could make for a good stocking stuffer this week. Update: I made an error with this one – it’s $6 off $60 which is less appealing.
The 10x Reward Points offers have the potential to be a good deal too. 10x Reward Points can be redeemed for up to 25% off gas which, if you can get full or close-to-full use out of, is a great discount seeing as some of the eligible retailers on the Happy and Giving Good gift cards include Home Depot, Lowe’s, GameStop, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ulta Beauty and more.
While Kroger’s current gift card deals are nice because they’re open to everyone even if you don’t have one of their stores nearby, these Just For U deals are in-store deals which mean you can earn more rewards by paying with a card that earns more on grocery purchases.
Anyone know any way at all to use the cards available this week at Costco? I don’t need to cash out the cards, I just want to use them for my regular Costco shopping.
one of the happy card has Home Depot again. Never saw that card in store before though.
Yep, that’s the Giving Good Habitat For Humanity one – they were launched a month ago or so.
It isn’t quite a Happy Card. You can redeem it online for a Home Depot gift card but you can’t do some of the things that made me a really Happy Guy.
I long for the Albertsons 20% store credit for buying Amazon gift cards in unlimited quantity. I feel like I’m an old man talking about something that happened only 5 years ago. The store was running a special on 6 packs of diet coke bottles for $2 each so I ended up with 600-6 packs. Even at 10 diet cokes per day they went stale before I could drink them all.
The Xbox, Roblox and GameStop offer are not 6 off 30 but 6.00 off 60.
Thank you!
Hey Stephen,
The gaming deal is actually $6 off $60 making it much less appealing for resale.
You’re right, thanks – I’ve fixed that.
I wish we had those stores in Minnesota. Can you post about sales at Hy-vee and Cub foods? I guess I need to visit every Sunday find out if there is a sale.
Unfortunately those chains are a little too small to cover on a regular basis here, although we did cover the great Visa gift card deal they had last month https://frequentmiler.com/hy-vee-buy-150-visa-gift-cards-get-10-instant-discount/
I cover Hy-Vee deals over on GC Galore, so you can find their deals here: https://gcgalore.com/tag/hy-vee/
I hadn’t heard of Cub Foods before, so I’ll add them to my list of chains to check on my other site.
