There is yet another targeted welcome offer for the American Express Business Gold card, this one offering an incredible 200,000 Membership Rewards after $10K in spend.
This 200K offer DOES NOT have once-in-a-lifetime language which excludes those who have the card or have had it in the past (and Amex always gives you a pop-up letting you know that you’re not eligible for the welcome bonus before it finalizes your application, regardless).
We’ve heard reports of this popping up in people’s accounts for a few weeks, and it appeared to be extremely targeted. Now, it seems like more folks have been added to the chosen few. Although my wife wasn’t targeted, I was…and I was approved for despite this being my 4th Biz Gold.
It should be noted that we don’t know the origin of this link, outside of the fact that Danny the Deal Guru posted it. However, the fact that you have to log-in in order to find out if you’re targeted makes it much safer (in my opinion) than what we call “post-targeted” links where there’s no log-in necessary.

Quick Thoughts
After a bit of a lull in the Amex Points Parade, it certainly seems to be heating up again. This targeted offer is double the card’s current public offer and requires $5K less spend than the 200K referral offer that we’re displaying on our Best Offers page.
The Business Gold card can be a great card for many folks given the attractive 4x bonus categories and the monthly statement credit for office store purchases. Even if you didn’t take advantage of any of the bonus categories, this works out to 21x MR on $10K spend…an absolutely stellar deal.

Just clicked through and up popped a page with “extend your membership” with the same deal 200,000 points spending $10,000 in three months. I just opened a business gold card three months ago after closing the old business gold card and completing the spend on that one .
So this was totally unexpected.

I’m not sure this offer is 100% safe. Based on discussion in churning Reddit, the WOC15KMR24 part of the link is for 15k MR employee card offers, which this is not.

I’ve never seen nor heard of anyone having any negative consequences for using one of these links as long as it was pre-targeted and required a log-in.
I have heard of the commenter on Reddit who says that they’re unsafe (for some time now).
Not saying that they’re wrong, but have you ever seen or heard of someone who was shut down by Amex who used one?
I’m trying get a sense if anyone has an actual experience with them being unsafe. We’ve had several of these come around over the last couple of years, with hundreds (maybe thousands) of people having used them and I’ve never heard a negative dp.
I’ve personally applied using this link a couple of weeks ago (before knowing it’s potentially risky) and I’m still fine. People who applied in September are fine. Although shutdowns can happen any time (like those who applied through a rogue Amex employee were shut down 6+ months later).
This one is different. A Chinese language card forum discovered that each string of targeted offers contains (a) a card offer (in this case, 200k MR for $10k) and (b) an individual target code. They discovered that you can combine the card offer code with a separate offer code to effectively “trick” the login system. WOC15KMR24 is the individualized offer code for 15kMR/$4k spend on various employee card spend incentives. Therefore, anyone who also has the 15k MR / $4K employee card offer is “eligible” for this by effectively tricking the system.
This is another not so safe link according to people on reddit. Seems like anything with the end string WOC15KMR24 is likely manipulated according to the same commenter on reddit.

If you got it within the past 90 days, then the 1/90 rule is preventing you from getting another one of the same type.
If it’s within 90 days, no. Wait until you’re outside of 90 days from your last biz gold, then call recon.
Nothing will overturn the same product within 90 days rule.
I just changed the application to one of my other businesses and they approved me even though I got an amex biz gold in past 90 days. maybe it’s targeted to individual?
I applied today after logging in (no pop up). My last Amex card (an Amex business gold) was 5 months ago. But after successfully submitting, it said my application was in review. And then I received an email that my application was cancelled and I received the letter that this was because I received the same card recently (in June). That’s outside of the 90 days. I haven’t heard of this happening before… any DPs on this?

Any data points on getting approved for other amex business plat or business gold and then NOT getting the sign up bonus after you reach the minimum spend. The reason why I ask is that I haven’t been paying attention to the NLL in applications (sad face here).
I’ve never heard of it happening without getting the pop-up telling you that you’re not eligible for the bonus first.

why do I get “This offer is no longer available. If you’d still like to apply for a Business Card from American Express”?
It means that you’re not targeted for this offer.
When I click the link and then login to my account, the link goes dead and gives me “couldn’t reach this page” message.
No luck for P1, P2, P3, P4…two of which already have the Amex Business Gold (with legitimate other businesses that should easily qualify)
