There is a new Amex Offer out today that’s good for 10% back at Dell.com (up to $1500 back) through April 26, 2021. This offer has come around frequently over the past year or two and can be a great deal when stacked with other offers and a shopping portal.
The Deal
- A new Amex Offer is out that’s good for 10% back on purchases at Dell.com up to $1500 in total statement credits (note that this offer is found on Amex business cards)
Key Terms
- Not valid for gift card or e-gift card purchases
- Valid only on the US website
- Terms indicate that you must order at Dell.com/Amex or over the phone, though in the past these offers have triggered when ordering from Dell.com (including after clicking through a shopping portal)
- Not valid at Dell outlet
Quick Thoughts
As noted at the top, this deal becomes particularly strong when you stack it with the many options for getting an even better deal at Dell.
For example, I found the offer on a Business Platinum card. That card ordinarily offers up to $200 in statement credits per year for Dell purchases ($100 from January to June and $100 from July to December), though this year it comes with $200 in credits through the end of December. You can stack this new Amex Offer with that credit as long as you don’t make money on it. That is to say that if you had the full $200 in credits and bought something that cost exactly $200 and got both a $200 statement credit and $20 back with this Amex Offer (for a net $20 profit), Amex probably won’t like that — they previously clawed back credit on those that turned a profit like that. However, they did not claw back credits on those who still spent something (in other words, if you’d have spent $223, you’d get a total of $222.30 in statement credits, which would likely be “safe” – but if you spend less, you’ll come out profitable and that seems to be where they draw the line).
You can stack further by going through a shopping portal. While the offer terms state that you need to shop through Dell.com/amex, we’ve never found that to be true on previous deals. I typically keep an eye out for an increased payout from Rakuten (which often comes around Black Friday / Cyber Monday / holiday shopping time) as Rakuten “cash back” can be taken in the form of Membership Rewards points.
We further see offers for additional points per dollar at Dell.com now and then. Earlier this year, I was able to stack:
- Amex Offer for 10% back
- Business Platinum Statement Credit
- Amex Offer for +1 Membership Rewards point
- Amex Offer for +4 Membership Rewards points
- Rakuten 10x Membership Rewards
Given that Dell also frequently offers deals that come with either Dell promo gift cards or Visa Gift Cards, the savings can really stack up nicely.
Also note that while the terms state that this offer is not valid on gift card purchases, Stephen notes at GC Galore that this may not be true. We’ve also written about the many things that Dell sells that may be of interest.
If you have this offer, it is definitely worth syncing up and then keep an eye on your inbox as we’ll certainly report any increased portal payouts to stack with this in the coming weeks.
We have added this and other offers to our Current Amex Offers database.

I have this offer on AU card but not on the main business card. If I use AU’s card, will it trigger Amex Dell credit?
Scored on both business cards, and love that it extends into the new year. Now just need to find something to buy!
