These offers only seem to be available on my American Express business cards. (Let us know if you find it on personal cards.) There is also a similar 5% offer for Total Wine as well.

I have staples offer on my simply cash card, can I use it multiple times in store? Staples only allow me to buy $2000 per day.

Robert Hanson

Home Depot on all of my personal cards, Everyday, Surpass, Ameriprise, Blue Cash.

5% up to $2K on each one. Wish I had gotten Staples, since I don’t have an Ink card, but I guess I was too late to the party.

If you have more than one cc on a single webpage, remember to open a page for each card before you click “add to card”, otherwise the offer will disappear from the other cards.

MichaelP

Got Home Depot 5% up to $100 statement credit on purchase $100+ on Platinum, Everyday, Old Blue Cash, SPG, all personal cards, non on business cards.

Michael

Seeking clarification:

Got the Staples 5% on $200+ on our Simply Cash; does it stack with the 5% CB that card gets at office supply for a total of 10% CB?

And speaking of Simply Cash, do you have any info on the new Simply Cash Plus card?

Greg The Frequent Miler

Yes it stacks.
No, I don’t have any new info on that card. It sounds like it will be a great new option.

Greg

Got the offer for Home Depot on three personal cards, but not on any business cards. My offers, however, were for a max of $2000 in total purchases.
Didn’t get the Staples offer on any cards.

Mel

I have 4 business amex cards and I don’t have those Staples & Home Depot offers on any of them.

ken

Can we use twitter or facebook to add these if not already on our card accounts on the amex website?

Carol

I also got several Norwegian cruise offers, Anyone knows if Norwegian online gift card purchase will get a statement credit?

John

I do not know this answer, but I would also be very interested if anyone tries it. The language in the terms exclude gift card purchases, but this is often not enforced.

ed

This one was extremely limited. Either it’s already gone (got enough people to add it within minutes) or they were very selective. Not found on any cards we have. I would’ve gladly used either HD or ST. 🙁

Doug

I got only the Staples 5% for $200 or more up to $5,000 on my business SPG Amex. But a dilemma as I would have to give up purchasing with an Ink card which gives 5x points. The 5x worth more than the 5% so the offer, while good, not as good in overall value as using the Ink cards. Of course the 5% is cash back versus points with Ink. Personal preference would rule in this decision.

Chris

Also, if you were planning to max out your Ink already, this gives you an extra $5k worth of bonus spending. Not as good as 5x UR, but better than 1x UR after 50k spent on Ink.

Frank

Don’t forget you’s also get the miles/points on the purchase: say $2000 spend on SPG card gets 2000 SPG points plus $100 instead of 10000 UR.

I seem to have the Home Depot offer on a bunch of my AMEX cards. I haven’t seen the Staples offer yet, but I haven’t looked through all my cards.

That said, is there really anything “to see” here? Most of us already get 5x Ultimate Rewards points at Staples, so what does this Staples offer do? I guess it would be like 6x, when you count in the regular rewards (typically 1x) that most AMEX cards have. I suppose this might be somewhat appealing if Staples happens to do an in-store rebate deal during the promo period, but I don’t see how it’s appreciably better than just using your Ink card.

Likewise 5% back at Home Depot also seems like a yawner. Yes, if I were making a large HD purchase, I’d certainly register and use the card, but I don’t see a “gift card deal” with 5x at HD. Am I missing something?

escot

indeed, for those of us with far more valuable 5x CUR points from chase ink, this is a ho hum non-starter….. Same thing, for different reasons to me anyway, for the HD 5% so and so…. get HD gift cards for 20% off and more via other means…. (e.g., kroger via 4x promos)

but for amex fans, there ya go.

Robert

I received both offers on my personal Hilton Surpass card.

Tom

I got nothing on my accounts or my parnter’s accounts (12 total)

Chris

My girlfriend got the Home Depot and Total Wine offers on her BCP, PRG, and SPG personal cards. She did not get it on her SPG Business card. None of the cards got the Staples offer. I did not receive any of them on any of my business or personal cards…

VM

I have almost same offer on all of my personal cards. The offer is 5% back on $100+ on up to $2000 in total purchases

David

Staples. Is it valid on in-store purchases of v/mc gift cards? Is it valid on online purchases of v/mc gift cards?

Greg The Frequent Miler

Yes, either one should work

Greg The Frequent Miler

Nice find. Amex doesn’t like me today. Neither offer is found on any of my (or my wife’s) cards.
