Update: These offers weren’t showing up on my Hilton cards. However, when using the direct links I just added below from the Amex Connect site, I was able to add them to my Hilton Aspire card. When entering my card number it initially said “Based on the Card Number you’ve entered, you can enroll in this offer and other personalized offers by logging into your American Express Account.”; when logging in, Amex let me select my Aspire card and it successfully loaded to that card.

Quick Thoughts
Both of these offers can save you up to 20% off, but that’s based on spending exactly $250 or $225 respectively.
Note that these offers are only valid on stays at properties in the US and US Territories. Also note that as is always the case with Hilton Amex Offers, Advance Purchase rates are excluded. That’s because payment for that type of rate is processed differently than when it’s processed by the hotel and so the statement credit doesn’t get triggered.
If you’ll be staying before September 6, you’ll also be able to earn up to 3x Hilton Honors points on the stay – just be sure to register for this promotion if you haven’t done that yet.
How to avoid “Advance Purchase”? I can’t see anything about avoiding it. I have done 2 reservation in different Hilton Hotels and all got the “Advance Purchase”
Thank you in advance for any help
When booking stays, the Hilton website will provide a list of different rates. Flexible rates and various other ones are valid for these Amex Offers; any that say Advance Purchase or something similar don’t work.
Did these offers expire earlier than 10/31? I followed the links and tried each of them and got the same message both times: “Sorry about that! The offer you selected is no longer available.”
Enrollment is limited for a lot of Amex Offers, so if you hadn’t loaded it to a card before, it might have reached its maximum number of people loading it. If you did load it before, it should still be linked to your card.
Is there a link for the Waldorf Conrad spend $500 get $100?
There isn’t at the moment, but keep an eye on https://www.americanexpress.com/us/network/shopping.html#All because it sometimes takes a few days for new offers to show up there.
Am noting the caution about “advance rates” not applicable (?)
Is it even possible to book a hotel without it being SOMEwhat of an advance rate?
Is this suggesting these promotions are only good for walking up to the front desk? Dbltree details says reservations must be made online … but not applicable to advance purchase … and of course all require the credit card for payment and can’t cancel after x hours before, etc etc.
Lordy, at some point the gotcha dance just ain’t worth the agony
On Hilton’s website they clearly label whether it’s an Advance Purchase rate or not, so you’ll be able to tell.
Stephen Pepper, the silent slugger of the FM team, nice job!
Now, how about stacking this with the Aspire resort credit, is that doable? Also wondering how clawbacks work on this (and the $250 annual resort benefit), with all the travel uncertainty?
Amex tends to be fussy with overlapping offers like this. With the resort credit and Amex Offer, I’d imagine that they’d claw back some portion of one of the statement credits if you got credits for both based on what they’ve done with the Dell benefit of the Business Platinum card before when there’s been a Dell Amex Offer on the same card.
Of course none show up on my Hilton card, only on MR earning cards. Makes sense, Amex.
Same here. I’ve just added links to the offers on the Amex Connect site – it’d be worth trying those links to see if it’ll let you add them to your Hilton card that way.
This has been a consistent pattern for me with Hilton AmEx offers for over a year now. They show up on MR cards only; never Hilton cards. Annoying.
Definitely worth trying the links in the post as I was able to add them to my Hilton Aspire card that way even though they weren’t available on that card initially.
I tried. Unfortunately this is the error message I get when I attempt that:
“Based on the Card Number you’ve entered, you can enroll in this offer and other personalized offers by logging into your American Express Account.”
Yep, that happened to me too. When logging in though it let me select my Aspire card.
Wow, that did it. Thank you!!
Awesome, glad it worked for you too 🙂
Worked for me as well, thanks for sharing Stephen. Have forgotten when last I could add these offers to the Aspire card.
Would gift cards work purchased at the hotel?
If the property sells them at the front desk then that should work. I’m not aware of Hilton doing this though.
Hilton does sell gift cards, maybe not at all hotels tho
