It looks like the European airfare sale is back on. We’re seeing even lower fares on a number of routes to Scandinavia from both coasts on legacy carriers — Oneworld, Skyteam, and Star Alliance all have sub-$400 fares from both coasts (and even cheaper fares can be found on low-cost carriers Norwegian and WOW). This is not an exhaustive list — more cities may be possible. Lower fares may be possible — use Google Flights to play with dates. The bulk of availability is between September and November. For a great tutorial on using Google flights, see our post about how to find great business class fares with Google flights — the same techniques apply to economy class tickets.
EAST COAST
New York to Copenhagen on Finnair: $363 October 15-24
If you prefer Star Alliance, play with the dates — the Star Alliance itinerary comes down to about the same price on some dates — here’s November 15-22nd:
If you don’t mind flying Norwegian, you could fly for $288 round trip New York to Oslo:
Boston to Copenhagen, October 3-10:
Orlando to Copenhagen: October 1-8
WEST COAST

I believe you could add a stopover to that for free. […]
It’s always nice to see in the title if the fare is o/w or r/t.
