Avis is out with a new offer that’s giving up to 25% off a 3+ day rental as well as a free day on a future rental.

Key Terms

Quick Thoughts
If you were needing to book a 3+ day car rental by mid-December anyway, getting a one day free rental out of it is a decent return.
Be sure to check the full terms of the free day rental at the landing page linked to above. A key point is that the free rental day isn’t valid on a one-way rental which might limit its appeal to some.

Also keep an eye out to see if you have an Avis Amex Offer or Chase Offer on any of your cards. I’m not aware of any current offers, but they’re often targeted and so there might be one floating around on some cards.
