(EXPIRED) Bakkt: Get 3,400 Free Wyndham Rewards Points

Procrastinators rejoice! If you didn’t get around to taking advantage of the just-ended offer from Bakkt giving up to 2,900 free Wyndham Rewards points, you’re being rewarded with an opportunity to earn even more points.

Key Terms

• To qualify for the Bakkt bonus points offer to receive up to 3,500 Wyndham Rewards bonus points (“Offer”), a Wyndham Rewards Member who resides in the United States (excluding Members who reside in Hawaii) must, between March 23, 2022 and March 31, 2022 (the “Offer Period”):
  • (1) add the Wyndham Rewards Program to their Bakkt account for the first time (after which they will receive 1,000 Wyndham Rewards bonus points (a “Linking Bonus”)), then
  • (2) redeem Wyndham Rewards points for the first time within the Bakkt app (after which they will receive 2,500 Wyndham Rewards bonus points (a “Redemption Bonus”)).
• Each of the Linking Bonus and the Redemption Bonus will occasionally be referred to herein individually as a “Bonus”, and together as the “Bonuses”. For clarity, to receive a Linking Bonus pursuant to this Offer, a Member must add their Wyndham Rewards account to their Bakkt account for the first time during the Offer Period, and to receive both Bonuses pursuant to this Offer, a Member must both add their Wyndham Rewards account to their Bakkt account and redeem Wyndham Rewards points within the Bakkt app, in each case, for the first time during the Offer Period; Members who completed the first step, but not the second, prior to the Offer Period, are not eligible to receive a Linking Bonus hereunder, but are eligible for a Redemption Bonus hereunder, after redeeming Wyndham Rewards points within the Bakkt app for the first time during the Offer Period.

Quick Thoughts

Bakkt had been offering up to 2,900 net Wyndham Rewards points for the past month or so – 1,000 points for linking your Wyndham account and then 2,000 points when redeeming at least 100 points within the Bakkt app.

That offer ended yesterday, but they’ve immediately returned with this even more generous offer. You still receive 1,000 bonus Wyndham Rewards points for linking your account in the Bakkt app, but now earn 2,500 points when redeeming at least 100 points in the app. That process is easy to do and so you should end up with 3,400 bonus points within minutes of deciding to take advantage of this offer – more than enough points for one Go Fast Wyndham Rewards night (their version of Points + Cash).

Redeeming 100 points in the app is straightforward and it’ll credit your Bakkt account with $0.35. I think it tries to prompt you to link your banking information, but there’s no need to do that if you’re happy to just leave the $0.35 sitting in the app.
