Bilt Rewards has announced details of its Rent Day deals for March 1, 2025. There’s another massive transfer bonus – this time to Hilton – but its regular transfer ratio means that even if your points get tripled, it’s still far from being a no-brainer deal.
The Deal
- Bilt is offering the following tiered transfer bonus to Hilton Honors for March Rent Day depending on your Bilt Rewards status:
- 200% transfer bonus
- Platinum
- Gold
- Silver
- 150% transfer bonus
- Blue
- 200% transfer bonus
Key Terms
- Offer valid March 1, 2025 at 12am ET to March 1, 2025 at 11:59pm PT.
- Minimum transfer of 2,000 points.
Quick Thoughts
In theory, a transfer bonus of 150% or 200% is incredible. Indeed, when Bilt has run similar transfer bonuses in the past to programs like Aeroplan, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates, Flying Blue, etc., it was incredible.
This Hilton transfer bonus is less exciting though. That’s because unlike American Express Membership Rewards that ordinarily transfer to Hilton on a 1:2 basis, the Bilt to Hilton transfer ratio is normally only 1:1. That means that Bilt Rewards Blue members will have that ratio improved to 1:2.5, while for Silver, Gold and Platinum members it’ll improve to 1:3.
You can reasonably expect to get 0.5cpp (cents per point) of value when redeeming Hilton points. That means that transferring Bilt points to Hilton any time there isn’t a transfer bonus is awful value and should be avoided. With this transfer bonus, Blue members should get ~1.25cpp of value, while Silver, Gold and Platinum members should get ~1.5cpp of value. That isn’t terrible, but it’s possible to get far better value from your Bilt points and so it’s also not a redemption that I’d highly recommend either.
Hilton points are currently on sale for 0.5cpp, so most people would be better off buying points via that promotion if needing to top up their balance. Amex is also currently offering a 25% transfer bonus to Hilton which makes the ratio 1:2.5. While that’s the same that Bilt Blue members will get and less than Silver, Gold and Platinum members will receive, many people find it much easier to rack up Membership Rewards and so would find that a preferable transfer option, thereby maintaining their Bilt balance for Hyatt transfers or to transfer to airline programs during future transfer bonuses.
As always with these Bilt Rent Day deals, the offer is only available on the first day of the month, so don’t transfer before or after March 1. We’ll republish this post on Saturday as a reminder just in case you’d like to take advantage of it.

You mentioned there are better uses for Bilt points than this promotion. If one has a substantial need for Hilton points, what would be a better use for Bilt points if looking to use Bilt points for a Hilton stay? Thank you.
Thus “perhaps.” Best of luck.
no specific suggestions? I mean, other than use Hilton points? LOL.
See @Andrew’s comment.
It’s not too difficult to get superior value via an airline redemption , , , even without a transfer bonus to the airline. Add in a *potential* transfer bonus to an airline and it’s very attractive. I assumed that was widely recognized. But, I guess I was wrong.
“Better uses” means not using Bilt points on Hilton stays. If you really really want to use Bilt points for Hilton stays then this transfer bonus is the best you can do for direct bookings. It is worth noting that you can redeem Bilt points at 1.25cpp booking through their own travel portal – so a Blue status member could get similar average value booking a Hilton stay through Bilt instead. Standard room rate awards are probably better off as direct bookings with Hilton since they have their fixed points price, while premium rooms if you needed something larger or a specific suite/view would be better off booking through the Bilt portal (Hilton pegs all the premium rooms at a roughly 0.33cpp redemption rate). Five night stays can also be better direct because of fifth night free on Hilton awards.
The better uses for Bilt points would include:
– Hyatt points
– Alaska MileagePlan
– Saving for an elevated transfer bonus to just about any other airline partner (Aeroplan, Flying Blue, Asia Miles, TAP Air, United, etc.). A transfer bonus to ALL is also going to be a better average hotel value
If someone can routinely earn 1.5X via Amex and transfer to Hilton at 2X (without a bonus), the person would be getting 3X. With Amex’ historical bonuses, nearly 4X. Perhaps save Bilt points for an alternative use. Just saying.
