Groupon is offering a BJ’s Wholesale membership and a $20 reward after your first $60 purchase for $20, but you can take a further 15% off and pay $17 with code PROMO. Stack it a bit further with 14% back via Retailmenot to potentially get another $2.38 back for a net cost under $15. If you live within the footprint of a BJ’s Wholesale, it can definitely be worth joining.

The Deal

  • Groupon is selling a BJ’s Wholesale membership with a $20 reward on a purchase of $60 or more for $20. Use promo code PROMO to drop the price to $17. Quick Thoughts

BJ’s Wholesale is a warehouse club like Costco or Sam’s Club found mostly in the northeast of the United States (though I think they also have some locations in Florida).

This is a solid deal as full price for a membership is $55 for a year. That said, I have had pretty constant ads in my Facebook feed for membership for $25 for the past few months. Still, paying just $17 after the promo code or less than $15 net if the portal cash posts (check Cashbackmonitor.com for current rates for Groupon). Note that Retailmenot is offering 14% back at the time of writing, though I can’t say for sure whether it will stack with the Groupon promo code.

This membership makes sense for my family because we live within the BJ’s Wholesale footprint and they have some very attractive sales that aren’t always advertised, but this deal obviously won’t make sense for a lot of people who don’t live near a store.
