Quick Thoughts
As always with these boosted offers, the rates you’ll receive can be highly targeted. When going to the Capital One Shopping home page on his account, Nick saw a 19.5% cashback rate; on mine I saw 39.5%, while via email Nick got 23.5%.
Note that those rates have different tiers. For example, on my account that’s up to 39.5%, it’s broken down as follows:
- 39.5% – Tours, sightseeing, activities, and experiences
- 25% – Hotels, car rentals, attractions, shows, attraction passes, Best Food & Must Eats, Transportation, and WiFi
- 2% – Special activities & Klook gift cards
Those tiers do leave some element of confusion. For example, the terms specifically exclude Best Food & Must Eats orders, but the 25% tier also specifically lists it as being eligible. Meanwhile, it’s not clear what’s classed as “special activities” versus normal activities.
Still, these are very good rates, especially for some activities, as well as hotel and car rental bookings. For example, although Disney parks in Hong Kong and Tokyo are excluded, it doesn’t exclude Disney locations in the US and elsewhere in the world. Perhaps those would fall under “special activities”, but Nick did earn 70% cashback for Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL via a Capital One Shopping/Klook offer a year or two ago, so hopefully nothing has changed since then.
Those cashback rates above are for Capital One Shopping which is available to anyone—even non-Capital One cardholders. If you do have any Capital One credit cards, it’s worth also checking Capital One Offers. On my wife’s account, she was targeted for 39X miles which is far more valuable than the 39.5% cashback via Capital One Shopping seeing as that cashback can only be redeemed for select gift cards.
You can find Capital One Offers by logging in to your account and scrolling down to the section where it says ‘Activate shopping offers.’ Click on ‘View all offers’ and you should see Klook listed towards the top.
If you only have Capital One cards that earn cashback, you’ll only earn that rate in cashback rather than miles. That said, with Capital One Offers that cashback is pure cashback, versus the Capital One Shopping gift card redemption-only cashback.

Just a DP. Had 40x. Clicked through and bought Disney tickets. It was processed today and only got 2x. On the 40x there was a 2x for “special activities and klook gift cards”. I guess Disney tickets fall into that category. I will call and try for 40x. Not confident it will work.
I have the 25% off for Klook hotels and car rentals today. Iwas planning to book a hotel in Japan for October. The Klook rate is about $100 more than I can get on Agoda. However with the Capital One cashback it would be about $100 less than Agoda. According to Klook I will not be charged anything until October. Will I still get the Capital One cashback with such a long time before any charges occur?
Same situation for a car rental in Japan. No charges will be incurred until October.
Yes, it should still track and pay out even if you’re not prepaying for the hotel and rental car. It’s worth taking screenshots of the terms and saving them somewhere though that show that there wasn’t a prepaid requirement.
Is there a limit or upper thresh hold here?
I am going to orlando next month and vegas in August…….wouldnt mind booking up the rental car in vegas and disney tickets and attrctions in orlando….maybe event a vegas hotel.
If I spend $3k on attractions, hotels and car rentals…would I get 75k points (potentially…if I have the same 25x)….is there a cap or limit I am missing?
There is often a cap via Capital One Shopping of $1,000 cashback unless otherwise stated. With Capital One Offers, it’s hard to know for sure. Someone I know did recently take advantage of the Belk in-store offer from Capital One Offers and that didn’t seem to have a cap on earnings at the time. That’s not to say this Klook offer won’t have a cap, but if there’s not one listed in the terms before you click through, you’d hopefully earn it on the full spend. I’d definitely take screenshots of all the terms and conditions though in case you need to push back.
Although you don’t have to pay with a Capital One card, I’d pay with that for safety as that’ll hopefully make it easier to deal with if there are any tracking/payout issues on a transaction that large.
How to view the cashback % for each categories? When I click on the offer it goes straight to the Klook.
Once you’re on the Klook website, click the Capital One Shopping browser extension and that should break it down for you. If you’re using Chrome, click the jigsaw puzzle piece-looking icon in the toolbar, then click Capital One Shopping.
I got spoiled with that 70% off Getyourguide offer. Saved significant money for my honeymoon
But 39x is still very tempting, will have to peruse for 2027 trips.
The Klook/Capital One guides have given me:
Woo Hoo!
Nice!
