Citi Strata Elite 100K offer now public online

13

Citi is out with an online public 100K offer for the Strata Elite card. Previously, to get a 100K offer, it was necessary to go in-branch or to request an application from a Citi banker. The only downside is that the new offer requires $2,000 more spend in the first 3 months: $6,000 instead of $4,000.

FM Mini Review: Excellent portfolio of transfer partners, but mediocre bonus categories and a so-so group of credits. Recommend pairing this with Citi Premier and/or Double Cash. Click here for our complete card review

Quick Thoughts

While the card may not be for everyone long-term, this card offers an amazing amount of value in the first year of card membership. If you can handle the $6K spend requirement, it’s a great deal.

Can you book hotels the following calendar year and get the $300 credit?

Is there any intel on how long the offer will last? Do they normally notify when an increased offer is going to end like Chase sometimes does?

The link to the full card review is pointing to premier not elite.

I applied in branch in September and got a ” we need more information. We will send a letter in 7-10 business days.” I’m a current Citi cardholder so they can see 20 years of payment history. I never got the letter. Pretty much standard ShitiBank Customer Service.

It’s 100k with $4k spend, at least for me, if I apply via my private banker. Was told this a couple days ago.

Nice to see this made easy to access. Also, since they just put it up now, probably a good chance it sticks around at least for a few months.

Could be good to “triple-dip” credits if you apply sometime in December. Can use the $200 splurge and $300 hotel credits in each of calendar 2025, 2026, and 2027. And then once the 2nd annual fee is charged, can cancel or downgrade in early 2027 when you would still be within Citi’s 37-day grace period.

I signed up under the original 80K signup bonus offer. 20K additional points is a sizable difference, if only we’d known.

I find the hotel redemption waaayy out of line with the other portals. But I like 100k transferable points.

Is there a way to get the old offer with $4k spend?
