Complete Guide to the Southwest Companion Pass

3

The Southwest Companion Pass is, without a doubt, one of the best values in domestic travel. Recently, one of the ways to earn the companion pass ended: transfers from hotel partners no longer count towards Companion Pass qualification.

However, before that change took place on March 31st, many readers took advantage of the ability to buy points and convert them for a pass. As such, we’ve received a number of questions about both the Southwest Companion pass and about Southwest Airlines in general. In response to that, we have published a Complete Guide to the Southwest Companion Pass with many of the key details related to this valuable benefit.

While the guide contains the key details associated with earning and using the Companion Pass, it will continue to be a work in progress — being updated, appended, and adjusted as necessary. Check back for changes and reach out any time via the Contact Frequent Miler page with questions and/or to share your experiences with this valuable benefit.
