Frequent Miler's latest team challenge, Million Mile Madness, is almost done! The last two weeks Greg, Nick, and Stephen competed to earn 1 Million SAS miles by flying 15 airlines. But who completed the challenge with the most Speed, Affordability, and Style?
Copa Airlines is breaking away from United MileagePlus and is launching their own frequent flyer program called ConnectMiles. As a way to lure people to sign up, they are offering bonus miles. The miles are offered as follows:
- 1,000 for signing up
- 2,000 for completing your profile
- 1,000 when the program launches in July
The website is very slow right now since a lot of people are signing up, however I can confirm that the 1,000 miles post for signing up and the additional 2,000 miles show up after completing your profile. Unfortunately I can’t find any confirmation in writing about the additional 1,000 miles when the program launches.
Keep in mind that you will need your passport and id numbers to complete the profile in order to earn the full amount of miles. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes as long as their website loads correctly.

Still alive this week…my husband instant status matched (United Premier Platinum) to Copas Platinum and received Star Alliance Gold good till 2/2017, 3 regional upgrades supposedly good on United, and the 3000 bonus miles when I completed his profile so hopefully they will send him a membership card for (better?) club access.

[…] Copa Airlines is offering up to 4,000 free miles for joining their new frequent flyer program and completing your profile. Copa is a member of the Star Alliance and hopefully they will join up with a bank or three for points transfers. You can sign up here and find more info over at Frequent Miler. […]
I’ve traveled with them on a trip to Peru before. I have to say that they had really excellent service. Although I’m not sure if these points from Copa will be worth/useful for anything. Also aren’t they solely a south american airlines? Thanks for the heads up though! I’m just going to sign up for the hell of it just in case I ever fly Copa without using United to get there first haha.
