Quick Thoughts
Note that the dollar figure given in the terms relates to the total amount you can get back in statement credits, rather than that being the spend limit. That means that the 10% version of this Amex Offer is good on up to $11,000 of spend, while the 20% version is good on up to $7,500 of spend.
If possible, load this to an Amex Business Platinum card so that it’ll stack with the $200 twice-annual Dell benefit. Also click through from a shopping portal to earn cashback/rewards. At the time of publishing this post, Rakuten is still offering 15x on Dell, while Drop is giving 50x (worth 5% back) when paying with a linked card. If you’re interested in buying Xbox gift cards, promo code GAME10 will take 10% off (n.b. terms exclude gift card purchases, but that seems to refer to Dell gift cards).
All of those stacking opportunities can make for some very rewarding purchases from Dell.
Any advice on if I don’t see the offer on my Amex Business Platinum?
I ordered about $400 worth of Dell items last week, then saw this offer come out. “D’oh!” I thought. Then something stupidly miraculous happened. Dell being Dell, they inexplicably cancelled my purchase order. For no reason. With no notice.
So, I ordered the items again. And one of the items was now cheaper. And I had this offer now. And… the order went through this time. Whee!
So, thanks, Dell.
I got 10% back up to $1,500.
How do we use Rakuten and comply with the requirement to use the Dell business site?
The URL mentioned in the terms of the Amex Offer just redirects to the regular Dell website, so clicking through from Rakuten and purchasing from Dell will still trigger the Amex Offer.
I cant get the normal generic Xbox gift cards to show up on dell.com
They seem to come and go. They’d returned recently, so I imagine they’ll be back in stock again before the offer expires on September 1.
Does anyone see Xbox gift cards available on Dell’s website?
