There is a new targeted offer for Amex business cards: Spend $1,000+ in one or more transactions with Dell and get $150 back.
The Deal
Spend $1,000 or more with Dell, get $150 back
Details
- Expires 7/19/21
- Targeted to Amex business cards only
- Spend $1,000 or more in one or more transactions to trigger the $150 back
Quick Thoughts
If you have this offer on a Blue Business Plus card that also has the offer to Spend $500 and Get $25, this could be a great way to cash in on both offers. If you have both offers, make two $500 purchases at Dell and you should get back a total of $200. I wouldn’t necessarily stack this with the Business Platinum $100 Dell credit because Amex might claw back some of the cash back unless you spend a total of $1,100 at Dell on that card.
GC Galore points out that you can buy XBox gift cards from Dell and it should count towards the valid spend (it is Dell’s own gift cards that won’t work). Even better, you can use the promo code XBOX10 to save 10% off those gift cards! Of course, then you’ll need to buy more than $1,000 worth of Xbox gift cards to trigger the Amex Offer. GCGalore suggests buying $1,125 worth of Xbox gift cards. After 10% off, you’ll pay $1,012.50.
Hat Tip: GC Galore
What’s the limit to buying xbox gift cards before amex gets suspicious? I currently have the offer for 10% off at dell up to $1100 on a biz plat that I’m trying to meet the SUB on. Theoretically, I could do almost $12k in spend and come out ahead between the GAME10 code, the 10% off, and portal bonuses. That said, I have to buy the gift cards individually to use the GAME10 code and having over 100 charges of $90 each at dell sure seems like it would be a red flag. Any thoughts on the limits of doing this?
