Delta Amex Offer: 3x bonus SkyMiles on fuel purchases (targeted)

There is a new, targeted Delta Amex Offer showing up for some cardholders, which provides bonus miles on gas station spending. The version that I’ve seen is 3 bonus miles per $1, up to 5,000 bonus miles, but there are often different variations of Delta offers out there.

This offer appears to be highly targeted, so it’s worth checking all your cards. My wife and I were 0/bazillion.

The Deal

• There is a new, targeted Delta Card Amex Offer that provides 3 additional SkyMiles for each dollar spent on qualifying purchases at U.S. gas stations:
  • Limit of 5,000 bonus miles
  • Expires 8/31/25
  • Registration required

• Eligible Card Members must first add offer to Card and then use same Card for qualifying spend.

• Offer not valid for gas stations located on-site at superstores, supermarkets, and warehouse clubs.
• Offer excludes online purchases and marina fuel or any type of commercial fuel, including jet fuel purchases.
• Offer valid only on purchases made in US dollars.

Quick Thoughts

This offer is limited to 5,000 total bonus miles, so no one’s going to set the world on fire with it. That said, most people buy fuel, and many of us have gas stations nearby that sell other items as well.

The offer seems to be relatively targeted. I checked both my wife and my cards, and we’re 0-30, and I’ve seen lots of other folks who’ve been left to pound sand as well.
