Over the weekend, One Mile at a Time noticed that a large number of Delta business class awards are suddenly available for booking via Air France / KLM Flying Blue. There are multiple seats showing for dozens of flights to/from Europe, and the fees are quite reasonable at only $33.
I didn’t book any of these, but went all the way to the checkout screen with both pricing and availability intact. That said, there’s always the possibility that some of what we’re seeing is phantom availability. If you’re interested, book sooner rather than later, as it’s not likely to last long.
The Deal
- Delta business class awards between the US and Europe are widely available for booking via Air France / KLM Flying Blue. Some flights have up to nine open seats.
- There are dozens of options, such as:
- Boston – Edinburgh: 57,000 miles + $33
- Minneapolis – Dublin: 69,500 miles + $33
- New York (JFK) – Geneva: 70,000 miles + $33
- Minneapolis – Amsterdam: 77,500 miles + $33
- Detroit – Frankfurt: 77,500 miles + $33
- Atlanta – Munich: 89,500 miles + $33
- Atlanta – Munich: 91,500 miles + $33
- There’s also a smattering of flights from Seoul to the US, but I didn’t see anything in the opposite direction. Those flights are 110,000 miles one-way.
How to find Delta business award space via Air France
In order to find the award space, first go to Seats.aero’s Delta One Finder search tool. From there, you’ll have the ability to search to/from North America and Asia, Europe, etc. Here’s what the display looks like when choosing “North America” to “Europe:”
Notice that it’s only displaying flights that are available via Virgin. For some reason, seats.aero is not picking up anything via Flying Blue, but ~90% of the flights that I checked that were listed as being available from Virgin were also found on Air France’s website when doing a manual search. For example, here’s Detroit to Frankfurt on July 4th:
Seats.aero says that nine seats are available to Virgin on this flight, and, sure enough, searching for nine people on Air France came up with space for nine at the same rate of 77,500 per passenger (or 697,500 total):
There are over 16 pages of results from North America to Europe that stretch well into 2026. I obviously didn’t check all of them, but didn’t find many false positives on those that I did.
Quick Thoughts
After months of Flying Blue doling out almost no business class award availability between the US and Europe, the floodgates have recently opened, both on Air France and KLM’s own flights and (more surprisingly) Delta.
It’s been a long time since I remember seeing this amount of partner availability from Delta, especially with multiple seats. There’s currently a 20% transfer bonus from Citi to Flying Blue, so the cheapest tickets can be had for only 47,500 Citi points and $33 in fees one way. That’s a very good deal and won’t likely last for long.

I found some from ATH- ORD or IAH for 45k in biz but $500 ish taxes.. still not bad. but great cabins on 787-10 or the a350
MUC to ATL on Sept 7th is $360 in fees per pax now, not $33.
Thanks, Tim (and the whole FM Team!)
I don’t have a paid seats.aero, so can only see up until mid September and have a trip I’d like to check in late Sept through Oct- is there any other way to see a calendar type view of availability?
Just checked 5-6 options that were showing up on seats.aero and none were available on AF.com.
DTW to FRA on July 4th is now $188 in fees per PAX
Weird, that’s when I looked for two people. When I look for one it shows it at $33
