DoorDash has released the details of a 2021 Summer of DashPass promotion whereby DashPass members stand to save $10 each week with various promotions (these don’t appear to be as universally useful as last year’s promos, but certainly may come in handy). As a reminder, cardholders of most Chase consumer cards can get free DashPass membership and unlock access to these offers. We will repost this each week and bold and highlight in green the current week’s offer below.

Quick Thoughts
Keep in mind that Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders get a $60 credit toward DoorDash in 2021 and that World and World Elite Mastercardholders get $5 off each of their first two orders each month. I’m not positive that will stack, but I intend to register my IHG card as per Greg’s suggestion and give that a shot – though likely not until next week since….Little Caesars.
WHAT GROCERY STORES?!?
I live in the Midwest and searched Kansas City, Houston, Dallas, Leavenworth, it’s been a while but I believe I searched Oklahoma City as well. That geography has representation from Kroger, Albertson’s, HEB, and a hundred chains ranging in various sizes from small independent to large local retailers (and in theory would cover Walmart Neighborhood Markets, etc). NOT. ONE. GROCERY. STORE. I had a targeted offer for 50% off up to 3 orders and you can imagine my frustration when I couldn’t find a single one across 5 states and some of the largest cities in the country.
Despite not saying this anywhere in the terms, I found I was only able to use the gifting / FRIENDLY promo on a select few restaurants in my area (identified by going in the app and looking for the section where this was being advertised).
Just a reminder to stack with portals. Many (if not most) only give for first time orders, but Doordash is on Rakuten ($1/100 Amex points per order for existing users). I don’t use DoorDash often, so I don’t remember when they were added there (it used to be the Wyndham was one of the only portals that worked for existing users, and then that went away).
YMMV per store too. Didn’t work at Chipotle on 7/28/21.
It appears the $5 off MC deal is promo code-based, so not stackable with summer of dashpass codes. Also if you have it the Freedom Flex is a better choice than the IHG cards to get the MC promo (3X UR much >> 2 IHG) assuming doordash codes as restaurant which I think it does.
sounds way too complicated. I’ll stick with my Ubereats amex credit.
