Dosh is currently offering $15 bonus cashback on top of the cashback you’d already be earning when booking your first hotel stay through the app. This isn’t worth doing if you’ll be booking a longer stay or looking to earn/receive elite night benefits, but it could be useful for a cheap one night stay.

Quick Thoughts
I’ve been going through our list of Current Deals today checking all the offers which don’t have a set expiry date. There was a deal still on that list from when Dosh was offering up to 40% cashback on hotel stays, but that seems to have since expired.
While checking the status of that deal, I noticed that there’s a different deal in its place – $15 bonus cashback on your first hotel booking through Dosh. Although that’s not as generous as 40% cashback (unless you happen to find a $37.50 nightly rate), it could still be a nice little bonus.
Be careful when doing a search for stays of more than one night though, as what gets displayed could be misinterpreted. I looked up a one week stay in Ruidoso, NM and this was one of the results:
At first glance, that looked like a stellar deal. Booking a $71 per night hotel room and getting $26 cashback per night plus $15 bonus cashback sounded excellent. All is not what it seems though; that figure of $26 isn’t the amount of cashback you’ll earn per night – it’s the cashback you’ll earn for the entire stay, so ~$3.70 per night.
I realized this when doing a subsequent search for a one night stay. I couldn’t find the terms of the $15 cashback offer, so I wasn’t sure if there was a minimum stay requirement. That’s why I checked to see if it would show up for a one night stay. The good news is that it did; the bad news is that a search at that same property only showed $3 cashback per night plus the $15 bonus (see the screenshot at the top of the page).
$18 cashback for a $71 hotel stay pre-tax is still a solid offer as that’s 25% cashback; it’s just not as good as I initially thought it to be. It’s also not as good as some past bonuses that Dosh has offered for your first hotel reservation in the app as the bonus has been as high as $30 in the past.
Something to bear in mind when booking a stay through Dosh is that it’s highly unlikely that you’ll earn elite night credits or points or receive status benefits. This offer therefore works out best when booking a cheap one night stay somewhere that status and/or points aren’t of importance. Earning ~25% cashback for a one night hotel stay is likely a better return than you’d get elsewhere unless you’re booking through Hotels.com, earning Rewards and paying with a gift card you bought at a large discount.
