Earn 10x at Sunoco gas stations on Wyndham credit cards through 8/31/25

Wyndham Rewards is running a new promotion for cardholders, offering 10 points for every dollar spent at Sunoco gas stations through the end of August.

The Deal

• Earn 10x points on Wyndham Rewards credit cards when using them at Sunoco gas stations.

Key Terms

• Offer only valid on gas purchases made with a Wyndham Rewards Visa card, Wyndham Rewards Earner, Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus and/or Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card (each, an “Eligible Card”).
• You will earn ten (10) Wyndham Rewards points for every one dollar ($1.00) spent with an Eligible Card on gas at Sunoco stations during the period that begins on 5/26/2025 and runs through and includes 8/31/2025.
• Purchases in the specified reward category must be submitted by merchants using the corresponding Merchant Category Codes (“MCCs”) in order to earn additional Wyndham Rewards points. MCCs are categories used by merchants based on the goods and services they sell. Barclays uses the MCCs when creating the reward categories however, we have no control over how merchants choose to be categorized and as a result, some purchases may not fall into the expected rewards category and will not qualify to earn additional Wyndham Rewards points.
• Additional Wyndham Rewards points may not be earned if the merchant submits the purchase using a mobile or wireless card reader or if you use a mobile or digital wallet to pay for the purchase.
• If your credit card account is closed or you switch to another product during the offer period, you may no longer be eligible for this offer. If your Wyndham Rewards account is closed during the offer period, you may no longer be eligible for this offer.
• Transactions must post to your credit card account within four (4) weeks after they were made to receive bonus points. Neither Wyndham Rewards nor Barclays is responsible for merchant posting times.
• To receive the points, your account must be open, active and in good standing at the time of fulfillment. All points earned from this offer will appear on your statement 6-8 weeks after the end of the offer.

Quick Thoughts

I received an email about this offer this morning and initially wondered if it was targeted at Wyndham Rewards Earner Business cardholders seeing as that card already earns 8x at gas stations. Looking at the terms though, it mentions all flavors of Wyndham credit cards and doesn’t state that you need to have received the email in order to earn 10x at Sunoco, so I suspect that all Wyndham cardholders are eligible for this promo. For what it’s worth, my wife also received an email a little while later for her Wyndham Rewards Earner Plus card.

10x is a very tempting rate, particularly because the terms don’t specifically state that it’s only valid on pay-at-pump purchases. If you happen to be able to spend quite a lot in store at Sunoco locations, that could be of particular interest, especially seeing as there’s seemingly no cap on bonus earnings.

There are at least a couple of ways you can stack this offer. One is to join the Sunoco Go Rewards loyalty program as you’ll be able to save at least 3 cents per gallon. If you have the Upside app, you might also find Sunoco stations near you on there.

Depending on where you live and where you grocery shop, Sunoco partners with grocery stores like Weis, Redner’s, Shop ‘N Save and Price Chopper to redeem the rewards you earn at those stores for savings on gas.
