Pretty much every month, the Ibotta app boosts the cashback rates you can earn when buying gift cards in its app. There’s another batch of cards at the moment, with 15% cashback on Hotels.com gift cards being the pick of the bunch.

Quick Thoughts
Hotels.com gift cards don’t go on sale very often nowadays, so earning 15% cashback is a decent offer. There are 10 other gift card brands with boosted rates of up to 15%, but many of those brands go on sale for 20% off frequently, so they’re not as enticing as 15% cashback for Hotels.com.
To access the gift card section of Ibotta, when opening the app scroll down to the ‘Shop by category’ section. There, you should see an option for ‘Gift Cards’. I think some accounts aren’t able to see that as an option, perhaps due to the account being new.
A quirk to be aware of is that Ibotta doesn’t let you buy gift cards using a credit card; you can only pay with a debit card. That’s a little disappointing, but if you have a debit card that earns rewards, that might work to help make up for the lack of credit card rewards.
