Hilton launched a partnership with Lyft five years ago which enables Hilton Honors members to earn 3 points per dollar spent with Lyft. They’re now running a promotion that gives the opportunity to earn 1,500 bonus points on top of those 3x earnings, but it requires five Lyft rides.
The Deal

Key Terms
- This offer is only valid for Hilton Honors Members who, during the Promotional Period, both link their Hilton Honors membership number to their Lyft accounts on HiltonHonorsLyft.com (a “Linked Account”) and complete five (5) Eligible Lyft Rides.
- “Promotional Period” means July 24, 2024 at 12:01am ET to September 3, 2024 at 11:59pm ET.
- “Eligible Lyft Ride” means any paid Lyft Ride requested and completed using the Lyft app within the United States or Canada after registering the Linked Account.
- “Lyft Ride” is defined as one of the following ride types: Lyft Standard, Wait & Save, Priority Pickup, Green, Extra Comfort, Black, XL, Black SUV, Access, and Car Seat (in markets where available).
- For the avoidance of doubt, bike and scooter rides are excluded.
- Hilton Honors members who have a Linked Account prior to the start of the Promotional Period are not eligible for this offer.
- Members who de-link and re-link their Lyft accounts during the Promotional Period are not eligible for this offer.
- Offer valid one-time only.
- Hilton Honors members who connect their Linked Account during the Promotional Period and complete five (5) Eligible Lyft Rides will receive a bonus of 1,500 Hilton Honors Points (“Bonus Points”) within two (2) weeks after the fifth completed Eligible Lyft Ride.
- Bonus Points do not count toward elite tier qualification.
Quick Thoughts
The requirement that you take five rides during the promo period means you’re effectively earning 300 bonus points per ride, but only after completing that handful of rides. That’s in addition to the 3 Hilton Honors points per dollar you’ll earn as standard.
Depending on how expensive your rides are likely to be and if you have the Bilt Mastercard, you might do better linking your Lyft account with Bilt rather than Hilton. That’s because thanks to Bilt’s separate partnership with Lyft, you earn 2x Bilt points on Lyft rides when linking your account, 3x Bilt points without linking your accounts but paying with a Bilt card or 5x by linking your Bilt and Lyft accounts and paying with your Bilt card. For more expensive rides, that Bilt option might end up being more rewarding. For cheaper rides though, I suspect the Hilton partnership + this 1,500 point promo will prove to be the better option.
Don’t forget that through March 2025, you can earn up to 10x Ultimate Rewards by paying for Lyft rides with eligible Chase cards. Depending on which Chase cards you have, paying with one of those will be the most rewarding when it comes to card spend.

It’s important to emphasize that those who have already linked their Hilton accounts are ineligible. I was prepared to use Lyft for the next month instead of Uber until I saw the fine print.
