There’s a new EVA Air Amex Offer out at the moment that’s giving a $180 statement credit when spending $1,200 or more. Flights have to originate in the US, but it should get triggered when spending enough on taxes and fees for award flights.

- The Offer is only valid for bookings paid for by November 23, 2025, however the travel can occur after the end date for the Offer, provided that the booking was paid for within the applicable Offer period.

Quick Thoughts
This works out to be an up to 15% rebate which is a nice little reward if you were planning on booking any flights with EVA.
As noted earlier, flights have to originate in the US. That means one way tickets from Asia to the US won’t be eligible, but round trip tickets from the US to Asia will count, as will one way tickets from the US.
In addition to being valid on paid flights, you should be able to trigger the statement credit when paying for taxes and fees booked through EVA’s Infinity MileageLands loyalty program, provided they’re high enough to hit the $1,200 spending threshold.

Darn …was just about to book 4 one ways from Asia to US (already got award flights for US to Asia on another airline) that would have met the spend requirement. Looks like I am out of luck, so close….
