Quick Thoughts
A $25 signup bonus for TopCashback is a great offer as their referral bonus – when they offer one – is usually only $5 or $10.
I’ve found TopCashback tends to have the highest or one of the highest rates for most retailers, so earning $10 in cashback shouldn’t be too hard if you ever buy anything online. In fact, I’ve earned almost $2,000 with them over the last five years.
The amount I’ve earned with TopCashback is much higher than that though. I started using them 12-13 years ago as I grew up in the UK and topcashback.co.uk came before the US-based .com version of the site. I earned at least £1,000 with them over the course of 2-3 years, so can vouch for their reliability for more than a decade.
On the off-chance that you’re completely new to the concept of cashback portals, the way it works is that you click through to a retailer from the cashback site and make a purchase. You’ll then earn either a percentage of your transaction or a flat amount. For example, when clicking through to Expedia from TopCashback, you can earn 12% cashback when booking a cruise or $2.50 when making a flight reservation.
TopCashback isn’t the only cashback portal out there, so it’s always best to compare rates on Cashback Monitor before making a purchase to ensure you’re earning the maximum cashback.
This higher signup bonus is available until Tuesday October 30, 2018, so you only have a week to take advantage of it. Once again, we’re not getting anything out of this promotion – it’s you who’ll be getting all the benefit if you become a new TopCashback member.
Any new account bonus available now?
To be honest, I’m not too sure. TopCashback is showing that I can refer people and get $10 at the moment, but it doesn’t state whether or not the person being referred will earn anything.
Given that you collected who knows how much money when you lied about the Sams offer (you got compensated for other people signing up, but the people you claimed would be compensated did not), have you reached out to TopCashBack and arranged for those of us who were #scammed to receive this offer instead?
Hi Sarah,
We’re reaching out to TopCashback to try and get this resolved, so we’ll be in touch once we hear back from them.
I just want to clarify again though that we didn’t lie or deliberately scam anyone. In that post about the Sam’s Club membership offer, I’d written the following:
If you’ve never used Top Cashback before, here’s Greg’s referral link. He’ll earn $10 and I believe that you’ll earn $10 too.
My belief when writing the post was that TopCashback always offered a bonus to someone being referred as I’d never noticed them not offering one. That was my mistake though as that’s apparently not the case. It was therefore a genuine error rather than any kind of attempt to scam our readers.
In fact, I’d included the referral link specifically because I thought readers would be better off by using it. If they’d signed up directly with TopCashback, they wouldn’t have received a bonus anyway, so I thought this was a way that they’d earn an extra $10 in addition to the profitable Sam’s Club membership.
If no one had made money from your ‘mistake,’ that would be one thing. The fact that you have someone getting paid $10/head (and I note zero offers to pass that along to the people who were taken in) doesn’t reflect well on you.
Like I said, we’ve reached out to TopCashback to try to get this resolved. We don’t have access ourselves to the details needed to identify who signed up from the link in that post, so we’re hoping TopCashback will be able to do that and transfer the signup bonus over to them.

Do you have to ‘earn’ the $10 by Oct 30 or just sign up by then?
You just have to sign up by then.
