Quick Thoughts
This is a great promotion if you have any purchases to make at the selected retailers. Best Buy sells a variety of merchant gift cards in-store (though I haven’t seen Visa Gift Cards at my closest store in a couple of years), so you could use these deal to get a good return on spend even if you don’t intend to buy something at one of the included retailers.
Note that this promotion is public and open to holders of the various Sapphire cards and the Freedom Unlimited. The Freedom card appears to have curiously not so curiously been left out on this one (since Chase Pay was just announced as a Q4 bonus category). In the past, this offer has worked once per card for those with multiple cards, so I would expect it to work the same here, which could stack up to be a really nice deal for those with multiple cards that qualify.
My experiences last holiday season indicated that cashiers at the time were pretty unfamiliar with Chase Pay. I would expect that they have become more familiar, but you might want to check out How to use Chase Pay in-store before heading to Best Buy just to be prepared in case you get a blank stare or a cashier insisting you tap your phone.

Currently, eBags is 10x/$ on the Chase portal…so if using the Unlimited Freedom, it would be 16.5x/$?
@Nick Reyes – I saw on the blogs and forum many people mentioned they have received an email for this. I have the Sapphire Preferred, but I have’t received any email for this. Should I be worried for not getting the extra 5x UR on Best buy purchase?
No. As noted in my comment above, they have public landing pages (linked in the post). They have run this type of promotion a number of times in the past year and none of them have been targeted in my recollection. Further, DoC confirmed with Chase that it isn’t targeted (see the post in the hat tip at the bottom).
Is this promo for everyone with these cards or are you just copy DOC posts? He has a click bait headline and then halfway down says its targeted. WTF!!
And now you all are doing the same, hasn’t been a good week for FM and or DOC as far as writing for writing sakes goes.
I’m not sure what you’re talking about. This isn’t targeted – you just need to have a Sapphire, Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Freedom Unlimited card. The landing pages are clearly public and Chase has run the same type of promotion several times over the past year. None of them have been targeted.
