Quick Thoughts
We had multiple reports of this in our Frequent Miler Insiders Facebook group over the past 24 hours and it has been widely reported on other blogs. It appears that Delta has targeted members who live in Seattle. It’s nice that there is a registration page also, though I don’t know for sure if you’ll be able to register if Delta didn’t already intend to target you (I didn’t try since I don’t live in Seattle and don’t have any plans to fly Delta in the next few months).
H/T: Jake in Frequent Miler Insiders
I was targeted. I had one trip already booked on Delta before the promo went out but have otherwise not been a frequent Delta flier.
What about the rest of us????
No, I live in Seattle and my Delta account is registered there, got an error saying I wasn’t part of the promotion.
Same here. Seattle resident, not eligible. Have encouraged others around me to try registering but they too were not eligible, so it seems rather targeted.
I am a long time dedicated DL flyer with a flight earlier this week, so probably do not need the encouragement from Delta.
It’s highly targeted. Out of 8 accounts I manage for my extended family, only 2 got targeted. I tried to register for rest of 6, no luck. So you might have been targeted and missed the email but if you aren’t originally targeted, you won’t be able to register. Plus ecredit doesn’t show until you tried to book the trip. get to the payment page and then try to apply credit. Plus it’s non transferable of course.
