Etihad Guest is offering 1,500 free miles just for registering for their 15th birthday promotion. That’s a nice deal because it will help extend the expiration of any miles you currently have in your account (and it’s free miles). Etihad is also offering 15% back on economy and business class awards on its own flights booked today through September 6 for travel through December 31, 2021.

Quick Thoughts

Again, this is easy and free points. There’s no reason not to sign up for the free miles. Just click through to the landing page and scroll down to the section where you enter your name, email, and Etihad Guest membership number in order to register.

I immediately received a message saying that I had successfully registered, though the points did not post immediately (the terms state they will post on or before September 15, 2021). Still, with my small sum of Etihad Guest miles set to expire on January 31, 2022 I will be glad to get the miles extended until at least February 2023.

If you were planning to redeem Etihad Guest miles for a flight on Etihad in the next few days, the 15% rebate will be kind of nice, though keep in mind:

  • The rebate is only valid on flights operated by Etihad
  • It is a rebate, so you’ll still need the full number of points in your account up front and will end up with leftover miles
  • It must be booked in the next week for travel this year

Those limitations will likely make the award ticket rebate promotion of limited use, but if you can use it that’s great.
