Key Terms
- Offer limited to one per customer and account.
- Offer Limited to Prime Members
- Offer is non-transferable and may not be resold.
- Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time.

- Grubhub+ membership auto-renews at $9.99/month after the initial 12 month free period and continues until cancelled.
Quick Thoughts
Many readers report using pick up to avoid delivery fees when making use of their Amex Gold card monthly benefit, but this deal means being able to choose delivery if that’s convenient (as long as you’re willing to spend at least a couple of bucks out of pocket anyway). I’ll sign up for this even though I don’t often find a use for GrubHub because this will at least make it more worthwhile to use when I’m traveling in an area with GrubHub delivery.
Keep in mind that this will be set to auto-renew after 12 months, so you’ll want to set a reminder to re-evaluate if you’re not sure you’ll want to keep it.
When I recently went into my GrubHub account to check when the free trial period would end, I unexpectedly found that it says Jan. 2025. This is certainly way more than the one year period initially advertised from the Amazon Prime-related offer (which I signed up for in early 2023). I’m pretty sure at some point my free period got extended, for some unknown reason, as I don’t believe this was the same date that was showing when I first signed up. In any case, we’ll take it!
can i choose “pick up” rather than delivery to use my MR gold card benefit
not sweet enough for me
I have Grub+ through my Chase Sapphire Reserve so the credit won’t work? Not sure how to switch my Grub+ to be based on Amazon Prime.
My assumption is that the account has to be through Amazon Prime (which you could do using another e-mail). That said, before doing it, I’d check the code on a fake order and just see if it works.
You get free $10 for pickup every month with Grubhub+ too! Great deal.
Good to know, thank you!
Only with a PAID membership. Doesn’t work with free memberships like this one.
This will also be useful for utilizing the new marriott brilliant dining credit!
